Industries within the United Kingdom, have a large impact on modern cinemas of today whether it being good or bad productions. The industry is characterised to focus on an individual identity which includes economic and culture issues. The British film industry has produced some of the greatest actors, directors and motion pictures of all time, from directors such as; Sir Alfred Hitchcock, Laurence Olivier, David Niven, and Powell and Pressburger.
The British film industry is expanding as we speak due to its high success or experimental productions. Many British films have found a wide international audience, and some of the independent production companies, have now secured financing and distribution deals with major American studios, all in which are creating prestige to the British film industry.
